new technologies (HTML5, CSS3, jQuery) and some other breakthrough in the field of web design. Development of hardware technology and some other aspects also affect the web design trends, such as photography, advertising, which makes a website not only as a mere provider of information, but also as a work of art that delight your eyes. So which web design trends going to rule the year of 2013?

2013 Web Design Trend

According to the latest trends in technology as per my expectation there are some trends which might be popular in 2013 in web designing:

Responsive Website Design

Responsive web design
(RWD) is an approach to web design in which a site is crafted to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones)

Full screen background Website Design

Now you will often come across a website with a full background image, instead of using a repeated patern. Indeed, it would look lovely as a desktop display. Unfortunately these types of websites will take a longer loading time, so for those who are less good connections to be more patient in accessing these kind of websites. Usually these websites have little menu that combined simultaneously with a background image.

Simple Web Design

Simple design means making something beautiful with basic design elements and with as few of them as simple as possible. Minimalism has been a popular website design style for years and some web designers believe that a minimalistic and simple design makes it a lot easier for the visitor to find what he is looking for. Web design is made up of some basic premises and if you understand them you can design pages that will impress and illuminate your readers, in this case minimalistic and simple design is a very important role.

Proper Navigation Structure

The main aspect that separates a good site from a great one is how easy it is to navigate. Getting the navigation structure right will go a long way to ensuring your visitor enjoys a best experience on your site. It should easy to follow to permit the visitor to reach the content they want to see quickly and reliably and make it easy to add fresh content or particularly news items without major change to the graphic design of the site.

Single Page Dynamic Layout Website Design / Scrolling in vertical manner

2013 Web Design Trend

This Websites only contain one page. At the start screen (usually located on the top), there is a static menu that does not take you to another page but it will only scroll down to a particular topic. Even without any menu we could read the entire contents by moving the scroll. HTML5 has played a part here. This type is widely used as a portfolio, company profile or personal homepage.

Windows based layout / Metro UI Website Design

2013 Web Design Trend

Metro is an internal code name of a typography-based design language created by Microsoft, originally for use in Windows Phone. A key design principle of Metro is better focus on the content of applications, relying more on typography and less on graphics ("content before chrome"). Windows 8 with the Metro UI look has influenced the look of the website a bit more. I have come across many websites that change the appearance of elements becomes borderless and more minimalist. Some animations are used also began adapting the Metro UI. While not everyone likes this but it still gives a more fresh simple and elegant new look.

Well that was a glimpse of a web design trend forecast 2013. I'm not saying that this is accurate but rather a prediction. As with any reality later, it will still require web developers to keep abreast of the world of websites.
